Combining Homeschooling and School
Most schools ask teens to sit still and follow along. RLC supports them to take the lead. Teacher-mentors listen first, then guide students toward what they're curious about — real projects and a community that takes their ideas seriously, not a curriculum that doesn't. Our Approach
At RLC, students build their own schedule from small-group classes, workshops, and field trips. In weekly mentoring meetings, teens reflect and adjust as interests shift. Older students model what's possible for younger ones, and projects turn into friendships. What to learn, when, and how it happens is up to the student.
RLC serves two kinds of families: those seeking an alternative to public or private school, and those for whom the school system hasn't worked.
